I have the honour to transmit, in duplicate,

the enclosed application by lir. A. H. Hollingsworth, Executive Engineer in the Public Works Department, for promotion in the Colonial Service.

The Director of Public Works reports that Mr. Hollingsworth has performed his duties which are of a responsible nature in a very satisfactory manner and that he has had very considerable experience in Water and Drainage Works and also in other work of a municipal nature during his term of service in Hongkong.
